Telerik Silverlight 3D Pie chart with increasing or dynamic segment hight

Hi all,

I am trying to create a Silverlight telerik 3D pie chart with dynamic height of each segment, something which would look like a round pillers of different height based on the value of each dataseries. I have attached image for expected Pie chart look and feel.

Please let me know any idea how can this be implemented. Or any idea if Telerik silverlight 3d Charts control will support that.

Hello sonali amrutkar,

Unfortunately the current version of the Silverlight 3D Pie chart does not support this functionality and it cannot be customized to achieve the desired effect. We will research our options how to implement something like this once Silverlight implements native 3D support (hardware-accelerated) in one of the future versions of the framework (as you might know RadChart relies on our own proprietary 3D engine for the 3D series rendering and it is not possible to expose pie template customization options with it).

I am too interested in this and as its an old post (3 years old), assumption is this might have now been implemented.  So I was wondering, is this feasible to do now?

Hi Mark,

I am afraid that RadChart (as well as our newer charting solution - RadChartView) do not support this scenario. The majority of our development effort shifted to RadChartView since we released it in Q3 2011. However we have no immediate plans to add 3D support for the new control.
