Hello,
To remove the background of the selected state of the GridViewRow element for the Office_Black theme (my guess is that this theme is used on your end), extract its default ControlTemplate with x:Key="GridViewRowTemplate"

After extracting the ControlTemplate, locate the Border with x:Name="Background_Selected" and change the BorderBrush to Transparent. Additionally, change the Background and BorderBrush properties of its inner Border element to Transparent as well (or a color of your choice). Finally, create a new global Style for the GridViewRow element and set the modified ControlTemplate to its Template property.
