I am unclear (not clear in the docs?) on how to get the Silverlight controls installed. There is no .exe or .msi that I have seen. I am unclear based upon the docs on how to actually start the creation of a new asp.net web project that will use these Silverlight controls, in addition to other asp.net ajax controls. Can you point me to a help doc that describes this, or provide a few starting steps for me?

I have installed:
XP Pro SP3
VS 2008 SP1
SQL 2008
Telerik
RadControls ASPNET AJAX Q2 2008
RadControls for WinForms Q2 2008 SP1
RadControls for WPF Q2 2008
Reporting Q2 2008
The entire Telerik controls suite is totally new to me, so everything is quite unfamiliar, in short, I'm an idiot.
I also want to review the Silverlight Beta2 Dev controls so I can decide if they are ready for inclusion in a web-based project I am starting.
It is unclear on how to get those installed.
I downloaded from the link to the 20MB ZIP file, unzipped it, and copied those files to a folder on my machine.
I then double-click the "Examples.sln" expecting VS2008 to open a project that I can review, run, etc. Instead I get an error:
The project file 'C:\Code\Telerik\Telerik.Windows.Examples\Telerik.Windows.Examples.csproj' cannot be opened. The project type is not supported by this installation.
I've installed everything on this brand-new fresh machine.
What am I missing?
Also, what is the best way to get the files contained in the C:\Code\Telerik\Binaries folder (Telerik.QuickStart.dll, ...Controls.dll,...Controls.Input.dll....etc...etc..) installed. Am I supposed to move them somewhere? Am I supposed to add them to the VS toolbox? Is there a better installer than this?

You can Check this Getting started topic - please install the bits you are missing.

After that when you run the "Examples.sln" you should be able to run the examples from VS2008.
You can install the dll in the toolbox by following this KB article:
