We're trying to automate testing of the WinControls using a couple of different tools (QTP and Project White) . These tools use the Microsoft UI Automation framework. We are using UI Spy to find Telerik controls in our WinForms application and they don't show up.
We have an immediate need for UI automation. What are your plans for providing support for Microsoft's UI automation framework?

Hi Kevin Marsh,
Thank you for writing.
Currently, we are not planning to add support for Microsoft's UI automation framework. It is a part of .NET Framework 3.0, and as our controls are targeted toward version 2.0, it is out of our current plans.
If you have any other questions, please contact me.

Which UI automation frameworks do you support?

Hello Kevin,
We are not aware of having issues with any UI automation frameworks that support .Net Framework 2.0 in Windows Forms. We use AutomatedQA’s TestComplete currently.
If you have additional questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
Nikolay

Hi Kevin,
I am testing .NET application which is included telerik controls using QTP, We are using UI Spy to find Telerik controls in our WinForms application and they don't show up.
Few days back we tested .NET application which is included Sync fusion control, we developed .net extensibilities DLL files using C# event handlers to identify the Sync fusion controls in QTP. To develop .net extensibility for QTP we added two references 1. Sync fusion DLL file 2. QTP DLL in C#.
Is there any way to develop .net extensibility for telerik control using C#? if you have any solution please let me know how to develop .net extensibility for telerik controls….

Hello Srinu,
Thank you for your question.
In fact we have support for MS Accessibility interfaces per RadElement basis but unfortunately they are not implemented per RadControl basis. So, currently our controls do not provide this feature out of the box. We are planning however to provide complete Accessibility Support in the near future - may be for Q1 2010 or soon after that.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you have other questions.
All the best,
Georgi
